Leadership and Collaboration

InTASC standard #10 is Leadership and Collaboration. It is important for teachers to stay engaged with students, families and the community. Teachers act as leaders in the community and model positive and professional behavior. I am very active in the Roanoke community. I currently serve as the Executive Director of Page to Stage Theatre Company, a new-works theatre that produces locally and nationally written new plays. We work with writers and actors of all ages, but focus on collaborating with local talent. To find out more, please click on the icon below.

In 2016. Page to Stage produced a completely new anthology show called “The 12 Plays of Christmas”. In this production, actors from ages 11-50+ joined together and lent their talents to this exciting endeavor. Children from all surrounding school districts joined in, and we came together as a single community to create this new play!

Page to Stage is committed to working with the community, whether through productions, or community outreach. In 2017, we were thrilled to provide actors for Roanoke’s Magic Festival.

Page to Stage is committed to working within the community, and we were thrilled to provide actors for Roanoke’s very own Magic Festival!

Throughout the festival, which spanned the entire greater downtown area, our actors were in character, posing with attendees, and dueling with whoever challenged them!

A Duel!

Page to Stage is committed to working with artists of all ages, and know the value of staying active in the community. My background in theatre keeps me motivated to stay engaged with the community in my teaching career.
