Content Knowledge is InTASC standard #4. It is important to be knowledgeable and prepared when going into the classroom. I have completed successful testing via the PRAXIS II and VCLA, as well as have studied at Hollins University for my Masters of Arts of Teaching.
PRAXIS II
The Virginia state standard requires a PRAXIS II score of 167 in English Language Arts. My score was 184, as evidenced by my score report below.
VCLA
The Virginia State required score for Communication and Literacy Assessment is 470. My score is 507, as shows on the test below.
Hollins University
I studied at Hollins University for my Masters of Arts of Teaching. According to USA Today and College Factual 2017 College Rankings, Hollins is the number one school in the country in the category, “English Language and Literature, General – Most Focused.” Hollins is also among the top five percent of the “Most Focused” colleges and universities nationwide in biology and history, and one of the top ten colleges overall in Virginia.
